I'm a Virginia girl, without the accent, as the first in my family not born in Chicago. I love Southern life, I belt out country music faves but I don't go as far as liking sweet tea. From a family of entrepreneurs, I am lucky to be raised with a different view. I love to create while baking, flower arranging, or decorating my house and that has always been my attraction to photography. I started in the darkroom in a high school class and have loved learning and growing since. In my media career I felt limited, wanting more. More freedom in so many ways. I am loving more time with my family, more time to do things that bring me joy, and to do my best to spread that joy!
I played as a kid but didn't fall in love with the sport until I was older. It challenges me significantly and it's so worth it because of the fun!

We go through a lot of flour in our house. Gimme all the chocolate chunk cookies, scones, carrot cake and 7 layer bars.Not a ton of variety, just our short list on the regular. The sweetest thing to me now is baking with Charlotte, by far.

There are many things that go into an image but to me the most important thing is you. I want to be so authentic that you do too and whether it's embracing the chaos or capturing a special formal and polished look, I want to give you something to treasure forever. I have thousands of images on my hard drive, but only a few on my walls and in frames. So I believe in capturing quality over quantity. Of course I let the shutter fly on many shoots, but my goal is for you to want professional images more often rather than investing in the experience once every 5 years. I want you to love and share the images because you are proud of your family, your design, your love. Life can feel fast, and my goal is to help you slow down and remember everything about this season you're in.
